ILE+SE Scoping Study

Roundtables

Copenhagen

November 28th (PM) – 30th (AM)
Royal Danish Academy
Copenhagen

The Roundtables (one in Melbourne, one in Copenhagen) are intended to act as a ‘decision making time’ for participants in the ILE+SE project.  What research is needed into the next decade?  And if we have agreement, how can that research be put into place?  Finally, will this research agenda meet my needs, and that of my geographic region, or my sector (academia, education, allied ILE industries’)?

After a year and a half of workshops, regional zooms, individual Team meetings, and informal discussions through Cafes and other fora, we have gathered extensive and robust data about ‘what should be next’.  That data has been refined into a final white paper of two parts; results of the Workshops and the corresponding Delphi Survey; and a blueprint for an unprecedented and extensive international research project. An appendix containing all data summaries is also included.

From this draft, the Roundtables will address two tasks:

  • Are we in agreement with the focus for a large follow-on project, that the draft presents? Will this proposed project meet our (sector and geographies) future needs?
  • Do we agree with the strategy for this large follow-on project? Do we see its scope and funding approach to be feasible and capable of our support?

As such the Roundtables present an opportunity for your organisations to push for research that directly feeds into their future needs.

Organisation

The same Roundtable content will be covered in its Melbourne and Copenhagen events.   The same Management Team people will host each event to ensure some continuity.  One representative from each Team will be funded as discussed previously, but additional self-funded representatives are very welcome.  There will be a registration system (Eventbrite, see the link below) to allow us to cater properly.  There are additional (optional) events attached to each Roundtable. Programs for each event are provided below. The language used will be English.  Catering will provide vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals – please contact Kelly Day if there are additional special needs.
